Question: What happens if preferred stock is converted at a ratio of 2 preferred shares for 1 share of common stock?

You get 2 common shares for every share of preferred you have.

The 2:1 ratio means ... The individual or institution that is converting their preferred stock will receive 1 share of common for each 2 shares of preferred they convert ...

Did you mean 2 to 1 reverse split?
