Question: What is the best way to search for stock information online?

I'm looking for some way to avoid having 1000's of results when I type in search queries to Google or Yahoo. Something more focused.

It's a good idea to use a website that exercises editorial discretion to limit your searches to the best websites out there. Of course the yahoo directory does this. But you can also find 'custom search engine' by Google where a 3rd party web site has marked the web for the very best stock market web sites and included them in this search engine - so you only get highly relevant stock market search results, instead of millions of unrelated pages to wade through. Try wsj.com,barrons.com,msn/ money, yahoo/ finance. stay away from google though. i found there numbers are not as true as the others. i hope this helps

Canadians can go to this website for Canadian stock filters globeinvestor.com/ v5/ content/ filters The basic filter is free. The advanced tabs require an expensive paid subscription.
