I went into consolidation myself -- without doing any research whatsoever without knowing what I was getting into. Do a lot of research about how to handle your personal finances before you jump into anything. I was handling my own finances in a trial, error kind of manner -- getting credit cards and loans out of a whim -- not thinking of what I was doing, really. In my research I stumbled upon this book I'm gonna recommend to you, it really enlightened me on a lot of stuff about personal wealth, wealth management, mortgages, and asset management. It's "Stop Sitting on Your Assets " by Marian Snow -- it's highly recommended reading. You might wanna go through the dummies series too and see what you can find. |
