Question: What is the fastest way to collect useful market news for trading stocks?

If you mean trading as in buy a possition that you aren't going to hold for more than 2 weeks than I suggest that you pay some money and subscribe to a service taylored to this. If you mean investing in stocks as in holding for over 6mos you can get the news almost anywhere. 3 of the best are: The Wall Street Journal ( online.wsj.com/ public/ us ) Business Week ( businessweek.com/ investor/ ) Forbes ( forbes.com ) If you want news on a particular stock you should type the ticker into finance.yahoo.com and get your news that way.

I use ftalphaville.ft.com You can sign up for email alerts for specific companies your have an interest in, and lots of other news. You just have to sign up for these by creating a free account. I think its very good as its from the renowned "Financial Times " Hope this is of help.
