(Posted by: Anne on 2010-09-09 16:41:11)

Im learning alot about my finances, and would like to make an investment. I'm not interested in RRSPs or GICs, but I would like to know about international investment. I'm Canadian, is it a good idea at this time? Where should I invest United States; England; Spain??? Any info on investments, paticularly international would help me understand alot more Thanks

Spain? - They're in a crises. I suggest you watch a bit of CNBC - or any other news program you get. Get some books in investing also. And google Yahoo Finance And read the news at least once a day. How about some long term cd's, US treasury notes, or corporate bonds, or even some stocks that issue dividends.? /

Yes; investing abroad is a good way to diversify your investment portfolio. Invest in the BRIC countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China ~ ~ ~
