People are always looking for the silver bullet...and standing to lose it all. Diversification with mutual funds, ETFs and single stocks is the way to go. Why be stupid? Just go to Vegas and have a good time if you want to gamble. Obviously some education in sector rotation and professional investment principles would do you good.

The same ones that will wipe you out if you choose poorly why do you need "high risk " investments?? - split the money into 4 different kinds of mutual funds - do some research and then leave them alone

I think you are pulling my leg. You probably don't have enough money to buy a Playstation. However the object in investing is not to buy the highest risk investment you can. You try to get the highest return investment you can with the lowest risk you can. To get high return, you often have to accept a rather high risk risk, but you don't deliberately try to get a real high risk. If you really had 200k, I would suggest putting 80% in a US index fund and 20% in a foreign index fund. That's moderate to high risk with a very good return over the long run. Other investments might offer higher risk, but not with a greater expected return.

Your first concern should be to develop a disciplined trading plan which employs stringent risk management techniques. Once that's in place, the profits will take care of themselves.
