Question for the people who live in alberta canada , if a person gets financial aid like a subsidised rent , funded studies EI child benefit tax as he lies in the low income category etc and while on filing the income tax return his income exceeds i mean he has to pay rather getting a refund so does this mean that from the coming next year he has no right to have the child benefit taxes and rent subsidy again....whats confusing for me is (as i am new to this country) that actually my husband got a funded course all suppoerted by the govt he was on EI too and then i got pregnant, i was on EI so now when we filed our tax return it is like we have to pay $2000 to the govt, i am still not working and my EI has ended n so is my husbands but , he is still a part time worker plus he is completing his studies paying himself , and we have got two kids so with such kind of situation will everything like the subsidised rent and children tax will end up if yes then why?beacause we didnot earn that income it was all paid by govt so why we should be cut out for the benefits even we are still eligible for them?please do answer thankyou in advance... |
