The future of stock brokers, financial advisors, analysts, etc?
I was talking to my dad, and he said he thinks banking will be very automated soon. And all your money will be in a system that will be automatically managed by a virtual financial advisor, etc. And that all those types of jobs will be dead.what's your opinion?

Do I have to divulge all of my financial business to my financial advisor?
I only hired her to manage investments when and if I decide I have money that I want to invest. I get letters from the home office that insist I fill out any changes in my net worth, income, etc. They say they need this info to assist me in making financial decisions. My advisor insists that I come in often and asks me the same questions as on the form. She wants me to share my budget with her including how much I spend on groceries. I have no intentions of making any changes at this time and can't see wasting my time. I check my investments at least weekly.

Should I talk to a wealth manager or financial advisor?
Will a " wealth manager" even consider someone in my situation? I am debt free except for a car loan, need to save money for kids' education, etc. I have recently received a check for $105,000 yes, legitimate means and I would like to invest it wisely, set up a trust for kids, etc. But will they even consider me? I'm not exactly 'high net worth' you know? My wife and I make about $85k per year. Thank you for your thoughts

Are financial advisors who work for "First Command Financial Services" legit?
I am trying to research this company and how legit they are. My wife has become good friends with a financial planner who works for this company and I dont see any of her cerifications or liscenses on the website. I have not met this advisor in person, but have had the oppurtunity to meet her via Skype.Should'nt she have a Series 6 and Series 63 Liscense? Bottom line, who can I trust, and is she making commissions off of me? All I have bought so fare is life insurance, and we are starting an IRA for my wife and an investment plan for myself.

Do you absolutely need a university degree to become a successful financial advisor ?
Would education at college level suffice for this career?

What are the pros and cons of becoming a financial advisor?
I've seen a financial advisor position with no experience required. They will train. $X000 signing bonuses. I hope that means they are going to pay me that amount and not the other way .Is it too good to be true? I've seen them in job fairs all the time. How difficult is it?

Should I take a job as a financial advisor with Freedom55 or go to college?
So I have just returned from my second interview at Freedom55, London life. The job consists of advisors selling insurance segregated funds GICs etc. Although this seems like a decent opportunity I was really looking forward to attending college to learn about finance economics. I was hoping to become a broker trader investment banker one day. I'm really not sure if I should go to college or just take this head on as a career. ANY input is very appreciated, thanks in advance Some factors are .The job is in my home town pop. 75, 000 .I want to eventually move to a larger city Toronto, gta .Job is %100 commission after the first 16 weeks.I am 22 years old

I need to find a financial advisor?
How can I find a financial advisor that I can trust and someone that can really help me. All the people I've known at the end want to persuade you to buy something that's going to give them commission or something like that.

Is he better to see a financial advisor first?
a friend is in debt over his head.because he is behind in some payments he cant just go through a bank for a loan.he thinks a debt consolidation company like fox symes will help him out but i doubt it.i think he should see a financial advisor first.i used a budget calculater with all his payments he has and it came back something like $7000 so he is way over his head.the only things he isnt behind in is his rent, boat and bike finance.i think his debts come to $49,000 that not including utilities.he has a $900 power bill thats two quarters worth and the only reason he's behind in that is because he had so called friends living with him and they skipped town leaving him with bills like that,a $500 home phone bill,$200 austar bill which is disconnected now ,his mobile phone got disconnected aswell.he's been trying to pay $100 a week of power bill.he's 1 week behind with car payment plus $600 in arrears in credit card payment.do you see anyway out for him because bankruptcy is not an option.
