Question: What is the status of a career in business and finance at present ?

Please help me out here. I am a mature U.S citizen with a B.S degree in engineering from U.S and M.D degree from overseas. I have no license to practice medicine in U.S. I have over 6 years of experience working as a psychiatric clinician in an ER in U.S and over 8 years in Petrochemical industries working in overseas. I would like to change my career in another medical discipline or in a business and finance industry without going to school again for a long time. Your advise is highly appreciated in this matter. If business and finance industry is not doing good in U.S at present, what would be my best option to try another area in health field ( other than mental health ). I am thinking about optometry or pharmacy, but both of them require a long time in school again and that I am trying to avoid. Thanks. I would like to have my own business in healthcare and this is the reason I am considering going to optometry or pharmacy. The schools I found in U.S or overseas, they offer a long term program of 4 to 5 years in length. Is there any accredited school anywhere that may offer a short term program.
